The Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices (Farmalkes) through the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Management and Services held a National Drug Requirement Planning Activity in Bogor from July 23 to 26, 2024. This activity shows the commitment of Farmalkes to ensure the availability of drugs needed in health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity aims to ensure the availability, equity and affordability of drugs, both basic health service drugs and health program drugs. This is in accordance with the mandate of Law No. 17 of 2023. Secretary of the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, Heri Radison stated the importance of drug logistics management to ensure the availability of quality drugs. Drugs must be evenly distributed and in accordance with health service needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heri explained that the drug logistics management cycle consists of planning, procurement, storage, distribution, and use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAccuracy in planning drug needs is very important,\u201d said Heri. This is to avoid over-supply or under-supply. The bottom-up drug planning system is expected to improve accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heri added that drug availability is a shared responsibility. Coordination between the central, provincial and district\/city governments must be improved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis meeting is expected to be a forum for collaboration, direct interaction between the pharmacy department and the program to ensure accurate drug planning data so that drug procurement can be right on target,\u201d said Heri.<\/p>\n\n\n

Heri emphasized that procurement execution is also very important. Good planning must be supported by a procurement process that complies with regulations, otherwise it will affect the drug management management cycle. On this occasion, Heri thanked all participants for their participation.
