The Women's Association of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Ida Budi G Sadikin officially opened the Seminar on Smart Use of Medicines and Natural Medicines in Modern Families in Jakarta, on August 29, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity organized by the Dharma Wanita of the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals aims to provide education on the correct use of medicines and herbal medicine that is safe, quality, and useful for maintaining family health and fitness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing the DWP UP Farmalkes Advisor, Director of Pharmaceutical Management and Services Agusdini Banun Saptaningsih, in her speech revealed that in 2023, UNESCO has officially designated \u201cJamu Wellness Culture\u201d as the 13th Intangible Cultural Heritage (WBTB) from Indonesia. \u201cTherefore, it is our duty as Indonesians to preserve and develop jamu as part of our precious cultural heritage,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agusdini also expressed her appreciation to the DWP of the Ministry of Health. She emphasized that through cooperation, synergy, and collaboration in smart education using drugs and natural medicines, it is hoped that it can provide a strong foundation for maintaining public health, starting from the family environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same occasion, Ida Budi G. Sadikin explained that families have a strategic role in shaping individual behavior. \u201cThe mothers present today have a very significant role in realizing a healthy society, as a mother, we play an important role in maintaining family health,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ida further stated, \u201cWhen family members are sick, mothers are at the forefront of caring for and administering drugs. It is important for mothers to know how to use drugs appropriately and rationally, because the use of drugs that are not appropriate and not according to the rules can cause other health problems. We need to ensure that the proper and rational use of drugs is cultivated in our families,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This hybrid event was attended by Dharma Wanita members and employees of the Ministry of Health. In addition to educational seminars, there was also a bazaar featuring health and beauty products and MSME products from DWP UP Farmalkes.
