The Assisted Area Development in Medan, which was held on 16-18 October 2024, aims to strengthen the synergy between the central and regional governments, in ensuring the smooth running of health programs, through more targeted guidance and supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director of Medical Device Production and Distribution of the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices, Dede Mulyadi, said that evaluation, socialization, coordination, and guidance of fostered areas are important steps to build a more optimal health system, especially in North Sumatra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices, L. Rizka Andalusia, while opening the event emphasized the importance of the Reverse Referral Program (PRB) in the management of stable chronic disease patients. PRB allows patients to receive follow-up care at primary health facilities, so there is no need to refer them back to the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis program aims to make it easier for patients with stable conditions to get treatment in primary health care, so that service efficiency can be achieved and the quality of life of patients is improved,\u201d Rizka explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting also served as a platform to evaluate challenges in the management and distribution of PRB drugs at the primary care level, to ensure patients receive the drugs they need in a timely and efficient manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only discussing PRB, supervision of the distribution of drugs and medical devices in the fostered areas is also a concern. Rizka emphasized that strict supervision is needed to protect the public from products that do not meet safety, quality and benefit standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDrugs and medical devices are fundamental needs that must be managed to a high standard. With proper supervision, health risks can be minimized,\u201d Rizka said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rizka also invited all stakeholders, from the central, provincial, district\/city governments, to the community, to work together to support the success of health programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSynergy between all parties is key to ensuring the smoothness and success of these health programs,\u201d Rizka concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was attended by various related parties, including representatives from city\/regency health offices in North Sumatra, BPJS Kesehatan of North Sumatra Province, BPAFK Medan, and BBKK Medan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With solid coordination, the Ministry of Health's health programs are expected to be more effective in improving the quality of health services throughout Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
