Task

The Directorate of Pharmaceutical Management and Services has the task of formulating and implementing policies, formulating norms, standards, procedures, and criteria, providing technical guidance and supervision, monitoring, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting in the field of pharmaceutical management and services.

Functions

In carrying out its duties, the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Management and Services organizes functions:

1. preparation of policy formulation in the field of drug and vaccine selection, planning needs, controlling, and monitoring the availability of drugs, vaccines, and medical consumables, monitoring and evaluating drug use, pharmaceutical management and clinical pharmacy services in health service facilities, and controlling rational drug use;
2. implementation of policies in the field of drug and vaccine selection, planning needs, controlling, and monitoring the availability of drugs, vaccines, and medical consumables, monitoring and evaluating drug use, pharmaceutical management and clinical pharmacy services in health service facilities, and controlling the rational use of drugs;
3. preparation of norms, standards, procedures, and criteria in the field of drug and vaccine selection, planning needs, controlling, and monitoring the availability of drugs, vaccines, and medical consumables, monitoring and evaluating drug use, pharmaceutical management and clinical pharmacy services in health service facilities, and controlling the rational use of drugs;
4. providing technical guidance and supervision in the field of drug and vaccine selection, planning needs, controlling, and monitoring the availability of drugs, vaccines, and medical consumables, monitoring and evaluating drug use, pharmaceutical management and clinical pharmacy services in health service facilities, and controlling the rational use of drugs;
5. monitoring, analysis, evaluation, and reporting; and
6. implementation of administrative affairs of the directorate.
