The 2020 National Health Work Meeting (Rakerkesnas) was held with 2,215 participants, both central and regional participants. This year's Rakerkesnas was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Education and Culture, the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Villages and Regional Development and Transmigration, the Minister of Agriculture, the Chief of Staff of the Army, all officials within the Ministry of Health both at the central and regional offices, all Heads of Health Offices both in Provinces and Regencies / Cities, all Directors of Provincial and Regency / City hospitals, representatives of related cross-sectors, representatives of professional organizations and representatives of donors / NGOs related to health and the Regional Secretaries of Regencies / Cities which are the locus of stunting and AKI-AKB.

The activity, which was officially opened by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, aims to be a national level forum for the health sector in formulating program / activity action plans that will be carried out in 2020-2024 to improve the performance and achievement of health priority indicators involving synergism, integration and collaboration of the roles of the central government, provincial and district / city local governments, cross-sectors (the role of community organizations, professional organizations, NGOs) and the role of the private sector in order to realize superior human resources towards Advanced Indonesia 2045.

The Indonesian Minister of Health, Dr. dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, Sp. Rad. (K) RI had the opportunity to give a speech and direction. In his direction, the Minister of Health conveyed four strategic messages that were directed by President Joko Widodo. The strategic messages are challenges in the health sector that are the focus of the Minister of Health's attention, namely reducing stunting, maternal and infant mortality, improving the management of the JKN system and strengthening health services, as well as drugs and medical devices.

In terms of improving access to health services, efforts are being made to control the prices of drugs and medical devices. To control the prices of drugs and medical devices, the acceleration measures to be taken are to encourage investment, accelerate compulsory licensing of much-needed drugs, open up investment opportunities as much as possible and deregulate obstructive licensing. These accelerated measures are expected to control the prices of drugs and medical devices for health service needs to achieve the target of reducing dependence on imported raw materials for drugs and medical devices, reducing dependence on imported medical devices, increasing the availability of generic drugs for health service needs and deregulating licensing.
In addition to the discussion forum, at the 2020 Rakerkesnas there is a Rakerkesnas Exhibition which presents several zones. The pharmaceutical and medical device zone is enlivened by the participation of the pharmaceutical industry and the medical device industry, as well as several zones enlivened by the participation of all the main units of the Ministry of Health consisting of a consultation zone, digitalization zone, germas zone, book exhibition zone, early detection zone and photography zone.
