The enactment of Government Regulation Number 11 of 2017 concerning Civil Servant Management is a follow-up to Law Number 5 of 2014 concerning ASN, as well as a commitment to the implementation of ASN Management based on the "Merit System". The regulation of ASN civil servant management through this Government Regulation aims to produce civil servants who are professional, have basic values, professional ethics, free from political intervention and KKN practices, in order to carry out public service tasks as well as government and development tasks.
