The House of Representatives (DPR) has officially sent a draft of the Health Bill to the government for joint discussion after the bill was passed as a DPR initiative at the plenary session in February.
This stage begins the public participation process where the government and DPR will gather input and aspirations from the public as widely as possible through various forums.
The Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices held a Public Hearing of the Health Bill which focused on listening to input related to the substance of pharmaceuticals and medical devices in a hybrid manner serially on March 14-17, 2023.

March 14, 2023 in Jakarta, the first day of public hearing session 1 was held to discuss and receive input related to the Safeguarding of Pharmaceutical Supplies for Health and PKRT (Usage Aspects) delivered by the Director of Pharmaceutical Management and Services, Dina Sintia Pamela.
This session involved relevant stakeholders such as the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI), Hospital Pharmacy Seminars Association (HISFARSI), Public Health Pharmacy Seminars Association (HISFARKESMAS), Indonesian Pharmacists Association (PAFI), Indonesian Vertical Hospital Association (ARVI), Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI), Indonesian Health Consumers Empowerment Foundation (YPKKI), Association of Indonesian Health Services (ADINKES), Association of Pharmacy Companies, Indonesian Pharmacy Association (ASAPIN), Indonesian Retailers Association (APRINDO), Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI), Indonesian Health Center Acceleration (APKESMI), Indonesian Telemedicine Alliance (ATENSI), Government Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP), National Committee (KOMNAS) National Formulary (FORNAS), and Community Pharmacy Seminars Association (HISFARMA).
While in the second session discussing and receiving input related to Pharmaceutical Security (Substance of Alkes) delivered by Plt. Director of Medical Device Assessment, Sodikin Sadek.

This session also invited and involved Dra. Maura Linda Sitanggang, Apt., Ph. D., Mario Apriliansyah, ST., MT., MM.., Government Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP), Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Nuclear Power Supervisory Agency, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Association of Medical Device and Laboratory Entrepreneurs (GAKESLAB), Association of Indonesian Medical Device Manufacturers (ASPAKI), Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), and Association of Indonesian Household Health Supplies Companies (PEKERTI).
The Secretary of the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, Dita Novianti Sugandi, said that all people who are directly affected or not affected, can submit input for the draft Health Bill.
