Jakarta, March 15, 2023. The Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices has conducted the second day of Public Hearing of the Health Bill on the Substance of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices in a hybrid manner.
The agenda on the second day in session 1 discussed and received input related to Blood Services (UTD Plasma Fractionation) delivered by the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, L. Rizka Andalucia.
Deputy Minister of Health, Dante Saksono Harbuwono had the opportunity to attend and give direction to this activity.
“Several things related to the draft Health Bill must be up to date, keep up with the times and regulate bureaucratic efficiency. The main purpose of this public hearing is to receive input from existing stakeholders,” said the Deputy Minister of Health.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister of Health said that the amendments to the Health Bill are intended to provide the widest possible benefits for regulations set by the Ministry of Health for the benefit of the community.
“I hope you can provide input and socialize that the aim to revise the Draft Health Law involves all components of society so that this Law can be shared for the common good,” said the Deputy Minister of Health.
This session involved relevant stakeholders such as BKPM, Ministry of Industry, Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, BPOM, PMI, Professional Associations and Organizations, UTD Vertical Hospitals in Jakarta, Pharmaceutical SOEs, Pharmaceutical Industry, Health Office, Hospital UTD, UTD PMI as well as Expert Teams such as Prof. Dr. dr. Herkutanto, SpF(K), SH, LLM, FACLM, Dr. dr. Yuyun SM Soedarmono, M.S, and Dr. dr. Teguh Triyono, M.Kes., Sp.PK(K).
The agenda in the second session discussed and received input related to Natural Medicines delivered by the Director for Pharmaceutical Production and Distribution, Agusdini Banun Saptaningsih.
In this session, relevant stakeholders such as Kemenko PMK, Ministry of BUMN, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry, BAPPENAS, BPOM, BRIN, Academics, Professional Organizations, Business Actors, National Phytopharmaca Selection Committee, Herbal Medicine Saintification Committee, Health Office, Vertical Hospitals and RSUD throughout Indonesia were involved.
Through this second day of activities, the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, L. Rizka Andalucia expressed his appreciation for all the input given at the public hearing of the Health Bill from all relevant stakeholders.
“Constructive input for us together so that this Health Bill can be used and implemented together to improve health services,” said the Director General.
