The Indonesian Ministry of Health is committed to improving the health system in Indonesia in preparation for the unexpected health threats ahead. In line with the vision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to create a healthy, productive, independent, and equitable society, the Ministry of Health has developed 6 main pillars as a foundation for transformation as an effort to improve the health system in Indonesia in general.
To support the implementation of the 6 pillars of health transformation program and to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of guidance and coordination as well as to build synergy between the central and regional levels, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices through the Directorate of Medical Device Supervision conducted a Working Visit to Bengkulu Province.
The implementation of the working visit to Bengkulu Province was carried out in conjunction with the Regional Health Work Meeting of Bengkulu Province. The activity was opened by the Assistant Deputy for Economic and Development Administration of Bengkulu Province.

Mr. Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono had the opportunity to deliver a keynote speech at the event online, he said that development efforts in the health sector through health transformation which the end is access and quality of health services for the community, the transformation that is being carried out is in line with the president's vision to create a healthy, productive, independent and equitable society. Health system transformation is an urgency that must be supported by various parties, of course we must be able to collaborate with each other because synergism is the key to success in achieving this health transformation outcome.
“We welcome the implementation of the Rakerkesda in Bengkulu Province as an effort to implement the health transformation policy for 2023-2024 in the Bengkulu region. Hopefully the transformation implementation strategy prepared and the program action plan determined are in line with health development as a form of state presence in building health in Bengkulu, as a driving force in the health sector. You are expected to have confidence and a positive mindset so that you are optimistic and able to make changes for the better,” concluded Dante.

The Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices online had the opportunity to deliver a presentation related to the resilience of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. In his material, he said that the implementation of transformation, especially the third pillar, namely the resilience of the pharmaceutical and medical device sector, the government seeks to meet the needs of drugs, vaccines, medical devices used in both primary and referral health services so that they can be met with domestically produced products.
On the same occasion, the Directorate of Medical Device Supervision in collaboration with Gakeslab and the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office held a CDAKB certification coaching clinic to facilitate medical device distributors to be able to submit CDAKB applications in the seralkes application by inviting 21 business actors in the Bengkulu region.
Director of Medical Device Control Eka Purnamasari, said at the opening of this event that the implementation of this activity is expected that medical device distributors in Bengkulu Province can fulfill their obligations for CDAKB certification so that they can jointly maintain the quality, safety and usefulness of medical device products.
“In addition, distributors who still have IPAK in carrying out operational activities are requested to immediately renew their licenses. Although the IPAK certificate does not include a validity period, in the revision of Permenkes 14 of 2021, it is being proposed that IPAK is no longer valid and urges business actors to renew their licenses to become IDAK,” Eka concluded.
