In the context of the availability of safe, useful, quality, and affordable medical devices and the creation of a healthy living environment, the following matters are hereby conveyed:
- Withdraw all mercury-containing medical devices still in circulation (medical device suppliers, medical device stores, and pharmacies).
- Medical devices that have been withdrawn are temporarily stored in the respective medical device storage warehouse in a special storage area and marked as withdrawn medical devices.
- Destruction of mercury-containing medical devices is carried out in accordance with the procedures set by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry or reexport.
- Report the withdrawal and destruction of mercury-containing medical devices to the Minister of Health through the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.
