On January 25, 2023, during the signing of the Minister of Health's Performance Agreement with Madya High Leadership Officials, Minister of Health Budi G. Sadikin gave directions for each unit to make new breakthroughs in improving the performance of the Ministry of Health.
Based on this, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices included additional indicators in the 2023 performance agreement signed on January 27, 2023. The signing of the echelon I performance agreement with echelon II, as a form of performance accountability and a form of commitment in implementing the Health Transformation agenda contained in the Ministry of Health Strategic Plan through Permenkes Number 13 of 2022.
In her report, Secretary of the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Dita Novianti said that the performance agreement that had been prepared was guided by Permenpan RB Number 53 of 2014 concerning Technical Guidelines for Performance Agreements, Performance Reporting and Procedures for Reviewing Government Agency Performance Reports, in which it was stated that in addition to the main performance indicators in accordance with the duties and functions of each echelon II, it was allowed to add other relevant performance indicators.
In this 2023 Performance Agreement, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Health Equipment made changes by including several other performance indicators that are relevant and strategic for the community, but also still targeting performance indicators for activities in accordance with the duties and functions within the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Health Equipment. The performance agreement also aims to improve the quality of performance towards the use of the budget in realizing the transformation of the health system.
In her speech, Director General of Pharmaceutical and Health Services L. Rizka Andalucia reiterated the mandate delivered by the President of the Republic of Indonesia at the 2023 DIPA submission ceremony to the Minister of Health and all leaders of other ministries / institutions, that "We must control in detail the existing expenditures, do not get stuck in routine. There is no ministry program that does not intersect with other ministries, therefore we must work together in an integrated manner, not sectoral and walk alone".
Therefore, the Director General hopes that the Directors within the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices will have a strong commitment to achieve the targets of the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices in 2023 effectively and efficiently.
"I really hope that the implementation of activities in 2023 will be better than in previous years and the activities we carry out can be more targeted, and oriented to the services and interests of the people," said the Director General.
