As part of a series of Socialization and FGD activities on the Draft Law (RUU) by the Ministry of Health, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices held a meeting to discuss Pharmaceutical Policy and Medical Devices on March 30, 2023 at the Manhattan Hotel Jakarta.
The dissemination agenda of the Health Bill on the substance of Health Policy in the field of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices was delivered by the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, Lucia Rizka Andalusia, in her presentation she said that it is necessary to regulate pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and PKRT to be safe, useful, quality and affordable by meeting the standards and / or requirements set by the government.

Regarding the practice of pharmaceutical services that have not been running optimally, he said that the definition of pharmaceutical practices made must be more comprehensive and pharmaceutical practices must be carried out by pharmaceutical personnel in accordance with the provisions. As for the security of medical devices and PKRT, he said that the definition of PKRT products and their security arrangements are included in the Health Bill, as well as sanctions for violations in the form of a larger fine value than the previous regulation in order to maintain the security of medical devices and PKRT and provide a deterrent effect on violators.
The event involved various relevant stakeholders such as the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Coordinating Ministry for PMK, BRIN, BPOM, Association of Indonesian Health Services (ADINKES), Association of Indonesian Pharmaceutical Companies (GPFI), Indonesian Pharmacy Association (ASAPIN), Indonesian Retailers Association (APRINDO), Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI), Acceleration of Indonesian Health Centers (APKESMI), Indonesian Telemedicine Alliance (ATENSI), National Committee (KOMNAS) FORNAS (National Formulary), International Pharmaceutical Manufactures (IPMG), Association of Biopharmaceuticals & Drug Raw Materials (AB3O), Association of Indonesian Medical Device Manufacturers (ASPAKI), Association of Medical Device and Laboratory Company Organizations (GAKESLAB), Association of Indonesian Household Health Supplies Companies (PEKERTI), Association of Herbal and Traditional Medicine Entrepreneurs (GP Jamu).

Also present was the Special Staff of the Minister of Health for the Resiliency of the Drug and Medical Devices Industry of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. dr. Laksono Trisnantoro, M.Sc., Ph.D..
