Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin officially opened the Innovation and Technology in Health Transformation Exhibition to commemorate the 59th National Health Day (HKN) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), on Thursday (9/11).
The exhibition, which carries the theme "Moving Forward Towards Health Resilience", is one of the concrete steps taken by the Ministry of Health in an effort to increase national resilience or resilience in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
The exhibition was held for three days, from November 9 to November 11, 2023, presenting a variety of domestic products in the form of pharmaceutical preparations such as drugs, medicinal materials, traditional medicines, and cosmetics as well as medical devices and household health supplies (PKRT).
In this exhibition there are several activities including the launch of the Featured Indonesian Medicinal Plants and the Presidential Regulation on the Development and Utilization of Jamu, Signing Ceremony, business matching, business networking, talk shows and the awarding of Karya Anak Bangsa and other awards and there are also free health check-up services.

Minister of Health Budi G. Sadikin in his speech said that this exhibition is a place for information, education, and promotion of the nation's children's work to the public and stakeholders, in an effort to mobilize people to live healthy lives.
"This exhibition is a form of appreciation for innovations in research results and downstream pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and domestic health technology," said Minister Budi.
The Minister of Health invites all parties and the community to collaborate and synergize to increase the production and use of domestic pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices, so that they can accelerate towards health resilience.
In his direction, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said "we must realize that innovation and health technology are the face of future civilization" said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
He added that health innovation and technology will answer the needs of modern society for health services that are solutive, practical, fast, easy and affordable. "Innovation must be the lifeblood of the health transformation that we are running," he said.
He further said, innovation will grow in an ecosystem that has the desire to change so that, work and willingness together are needed to drive change, therefore, "Let us strengthen cooperation to continue to make innovative improvements in our Health system and services" invited Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
"Do not let our health system fail to meet the needs of the community, and lose in global competition," he said.
Also attending the event were Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Harvick Hasnul Qolbi, Commission IX of the House of Representatives, representatives from various Ministries and Institutions, including representatives of ambassadors of friendly countries.
