Medical devices are one of the important components in health services. Advances in health technology have led to the development of sophisticated medical devices and treatments. Advances in medical device technology must of course be balanced with an increase in the ability or expertise of users in the use of these medical devices.

In accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 6 of 2016 concerning the Acceleration of the Development of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry and Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2022 concerning the Acceleration of Increasing the Use of Domestic Products and Products of Micro, Small and Cooperative Enterprises in order to succeed the National Proud Movement Made in Indonesia, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices through the Directorate of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Resilience carried out National Forum activities, Business Matching and Exhibition of Affirmative Action to Increase the Use of Domestic Medical Device Products at the Grand Mercure Hotel Yogyakarta on June 28 - June 30, 2022.

This activity was opened by the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Dra. Lucia Rizka Andalucia, Apt., M.Pharm., MARS, and in her remarks she hoped that through this meeting she could obtain useful results so that knowledge related to technology and quality of domestic medical devices would increase and encourage increased use of domestic medical devices in the implementation of government procurement of goods / services.

Participants in this meeting included the Special Staff of the Minister of Health for the Resilience of the Drug and Medical Device Industry, the Director of Vertical Hospitals and RSUD, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Health Services, the Head of the Bureau of Goods and Services Procurement, the Director of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital, the Head of the Center for Increasing the Use of Domestic Production (P3DN) of the Ministry of Industry, the Director of Social and Disaster Management Supervision of BPKP, the Chairman of the Indonesian Vertical Hospital Association (ARVI), the Chairman of ASPAKI, the Chairman of GAKESLAB, and representatives of health service facilities and the medical device industry.

Along with the forum discussion event, in this activity also took place Business Matching and Medical Devices Exhibition consisting of 69 exhibitors who displayed superior products for health transformation such as ultrasound, anthropometer, ventilator, anesthesia machine and various BMHP (syringe, infusion, etc.).
