Pharmaceutical Care for Respiratory Infections
Resporatory infection is a common disease in the community, which is one of the highest causes of death in children under five (22.8%) and the second cause of infant mortality after perinatal disorders. This is thought to be because it is an acute disease and the quality of management is inadequate.
In managing the treatment of infectious diseases, an integrated health service is certainly needed. In this case, pharmacists as one of the health professions should play a role from the aspect of pharmaceutical services in order to implement “Pharmaceutical Care” as it should be.
