On 25 - 27 November 2021, the Directorate of Public Drug Governance and Health Supplies held an Evaluation of the Provision of Public Drugs and Health Supplies in an Effort to Ensure the Availability of Drugs, Vaccines and Vaccination Support Logistics in 2021. The need to identify problems and obstacles faced in the implementation of the Public Drug and Health Supplies Program in 2021, especially drugs and vaccines intended for handling COVID-19 and as a venue for discussion and exchange of information so as to get solutions to problems that exist in each region is the purpose of organizing this activity.
The meeting was conducted in a hybrid manner, offline attended by representatives from the Yogyakarta Special Region Provincial Health Office, Directorate General of P2P and Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices. While online it was attended by the Person in Charge of Pharmacy from 34 selected Provinces and Regencies / Cities.
Through his remarks, the Acting Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices said that in order to implement good Supply Chain Management, in addition to the availability factor, it must also be supported by good systems and facilities. In the future, the acceleration of pandemic prevention through an integrated strategy, namely detection, therapy, vaccination and behavior change, where the role of pharmacy is very large in therapeutic points and vaccination.
