Cancer is one of the diseases that is the focus of the Ministry of Health's (MOH) health transformation program. Various efforts are made to control cancer, including facilitating public access to safe, quality and affordable cancer drugs.
The latest innovation is through facilitating public access to cancer drugs digitally through the latest version of SATUSEHAT Mobile (5.4.4). Through the Medicine Wiki feature, it is easier for the public to access information on cancer drugs, ranging from descriptions, general indications, composition, warnings, and side effects of drugs circulating in Indonesia.
"We prepare data and information on cancer drugs transparently, down to drug price information, facilitating public access to the drugs needed," explained Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Dr. L. Rizka Andalusia.
Users can also access information on the availability of cancer drugs and their prices at hospitals. The drug information in the Cancer Drugs Wiki feature uses data standards from the Dictionary of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices (KFA), as well as price information from related hospitals.
Currently, the public can access information on 152 types of cancer drugs and their prices through SATUSEHAT Mobile. This number will continue to grow until all types of cancer drugs are complete and available in SATUSEHAT Mobile.
The Cancer Drugs Wiki feature was socialized on 12 April 2023 to hospitals serving cancer patients and foundations working in the field of cancer. Director General Rizka said that with the availability of the Cancer Drugs Wiki feature in SATUSEHAT Mobile, the public is increasingly facilitated in accessing information on the availability of cancer drugs and their prices in a transparent manner.
"Thus the community can obtain drugs more quickly and health services for cancer patients can run better," said Director General Rizka.
Representative of Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) Ira Soelistyo said the Cancer Medicine Wiki feature is a positive thing. People can be more informed about medicine information through the SATUSEHAT application.
Through this feature, users can also immediately find out where the availability of drugs, especially cancer drugs needed by the community. The community can also complement each other, control each other's availability and drugs in circulation.
"Hopefully this will be better, especially cancer treatment services in children. I really salute the breakthrough made by the Ministry of Health, where information can be obtained directly by users," she said.
Ira continued, her party as a representative of children with cancer felt very facilitated in finding information about the existence of drugs. This is a quantum leap, especially from what the Ministry of Health has done.
"Salute and thank you to the Minister of Health, Mr. Budi Gunadi, and of course all the staff. A very innovative application," said Ira.
