The Ministry of Health has committed to carrying out Health Transformation towards the Golden Indonesia 2045. The Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices supports the implementation of Health Transformation, especially in Primary Care Transformation, Referral Service Transformation, Health Security System Transformation and Health Technology Transformation.
Health supplies are an important component for the implementation of primary care, referral services, and their availability is guaranteed by realizing pharmaceutical and medical device resilience.
The management of drugs, vaccines, and medical devices as health supplies is one of the mandates of Law no 17 of 2023 concerning Health. Article 314 states that the Central Government and Regional Governments are responsible for the availability, equity, and affordability of Health Supplies needed to organize Health Efforts.
