Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin officially inaugurated 10 Primary High Leadership officials at the Ministry of Health in the Leimena Room, Friday (4/6). "I congratulate the newly appointed high-ranking officials, I hope you can carry out the mandate and trust given by the state as well as possible with a full sense of responsibility," said the Minister.
It was conveyed to the newly appointed officials, immediately work both to continue the policies that have been running and to initiate programs that are able to overcome health development problems in the country including the Covid-19 problem. "I advise the officials who have been appointed, so that they can immediately work and make strategic directions according to their respective fields. Coordinate, integrate and synchronize both internally and externally to improve our skills and facilitate the implementation of state tasks even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak," added the Minister of Health.
The following is a list of names of 10 officials who have been appointed by the Minister of Health on June 4, 2021:
- dr. ANDI SAGUNI, M.A. as Head of the Center for Health Determinant Analysis;
- Dr. dr. EKA JUSUP SINGKA, M.Sc. as Head of the Health Crisis Center;
- dr. BUDI SYLVANA, M.A.R.S. as Head of the Hajj Health Center;
- Dr. I GEDE MADE WIRABRATA, S.Si., Apt., M.Kes., M.M., M.H. as Director of Traditional Health Services;
- dr. WIENDRA WAWORUNTU, M.Kes. as Director of Public Drug and Health Supplies Governance;
- Ir. SODIKIN SADEK, M.Kes. as Director of Medical Device and Household Health Supplies Assessment;
- Dr. dr. MAXI REIN RONDONUWU, D.H.S.M., M.A.R.S. as Secretary of the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control;
- Dra. PRETTY MULTIHARTINA, Ph.D. as Head of the Center for Research and Development of Health Resources and Services;
- Dr. dr. IRMANSYAH, Sp.KJ (K) as Head of the Center for Health Human Resources Planning and Empowerment;
- dr. MUHAMMAD BUDI HIDAYAT, M.Kes. as Secretary of the Indonesian Health Council.

As a follow-up to the inauguration, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals held a handover of positions (Sertijab) for high-ranking officials within the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals (7/6), led by Acting Director General of Pharmaceuticals Arianti Anaya and took place in the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals Meeting Room.
In her remarks, Acting Director General of Pharmacology emphasized that the filling of State Civil Apparatus positions is carried out based on an objective comparison between the competencies possessed by the candidate and the competencies required for the position, assessment of work performance, leadership, cooperation and creativity; without distinguishing gender, ethnicity, religion, race and class.
To Mr. Sodikin Sadek who was newly appointed as Director of Medical Device and PKRT Assessment, Acting Director General of Pharmacy advised, "You are not new to the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, I am sure you are able to carry out your duties and functions to carry out the formulation and implementation of policies, preparation of norms, standards, procedures, and criteria, as well as reporting in the field of medical device and household health supplies assessment," said Acting Director General.
As for Ms. Wiendra Waworuntu who was newly appointed as Director of Public Drug Governance and Health Supplies, Acting Director General of Pharmaceuticals said "I am sure you are able to carry out your duties and functions to carry out the preparation of technical policies, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting".
Several things that need to be prioritized by the Director of Public Drug Governance and Health Supplies at this time, namely:
- Ensure the availability of medicines and health supplies;
- Drug price standardization and drug market monitoring;
- Strengthening quality management in the governance of medicines and health supplies.
In order to achieve the objectives mentioned above, it is necessary to set strategic targets so as to realize an increase in the availability, equity and affordability of drugs and vaccines. In addition, other things that must be considered are ensuring the availability of essential drugs and vaccines in health service facilities, especially at Puskesmas, by fostering the management of drugs and vaccines according to standards in provincial, regency / city and Puskesmas pharmaceutical agencies.
While to Mr. I Gede Made Wirabrata who currently serves as Director of Traditional Health Services at the Directorate General of Health Services, "I express my highest appreciation and gratitude for his dedication during his duties within the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, especially the Directorate of Medical Device Assessment and Household Health Supplies. Hopefully the experience while serving at the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices can be useful for carrying out new tasks".
Acting Director General of Pharmaceuticals also appealed, "You need to make innovations and develop creativity in accordance with applicable regulations so that you can change the old paradigm of "business as usual" so that you can ultimately improve organizational performance. There is no need to hesitate to carry out reforms and innovations in an effort to improve the quality of public services as long as it is within the corridors of the correct rules. I advise you to always be open, willing to accept criticism from all parties and make criticism a control for your leadership. As a leader, you must be able to foster a conducive and compact atmosphere among staff to ensure the smooth running of tasks, and always remind staff to carry out their duties and provide the best service. Make the position entrusted to you a mandate and trust to always strive to provide the best service in the best way to the community".
Closing her remarks, Acting Director General of Pharmaceuticals reminded the newly appointed officials to immediately submit the State Organizer's Asset Report every time they take office, promotion or transfer. This is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the Integrity Pact that has been signed.
