In order to be aware of the increase in Covid-19 cases after Eid, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices held a Coordination Meeting on the Development and Preparation Strategy for Handling Covid-19 Cases in the Assisted Areas of the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices after Eid 2021 virtually. The meeting began with a direction from Plt. Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, drg. Arianti Anaya, MKM. Several directions conveyed by Mrs. Plt. Director General of Pharmacy to the regions under the guidance of the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, among others:
- To conduct massive case tracking through Tracing and Testing. Increase testing capacity, so that it reaches predetermined standards, and carry out tracing more intensively, so that more massive handling steps can be taken;
- Reporting all new cases, recoveries and deaths, no data should be hidden, so that handling and response are in accordance with the facts and conditions that exist. All elements involved (DHOs, health facilities, and clinical laboratories) should actively input data through the National All Record (NAR) and existing googleforms, so that the real conditions in the field can be clearly identified;
- Setting up self-isolation facilities in hotels or dormitories, or other centralized places, as well as setting up Covid-19 beds in hospitals to anticipate the increase in new cases;
- Ensure the availability of PPE, diagnostic kits, drugs, and human resources in health care facilities that handle Covid-19 cases. Regarding drugs, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices coordinates intensively with the Provincial Health Office to maintain optimal availability of Covid-19 drugs, both at the central and regional levels. Until now, the availability of Covid-19 drugs is still sufficient, both at the central and regional levels. For example, for Oseltamivir drug, the government has a stock of 2,027,950 capsules, which is sufficient for up to 113 days, Remdesivir drug is available with a stock of 208,202 vials, which is sufficient for up to 37 days, and if needed, the government has also provided Tocilizumab drug for use in severe cases;
- Improved adherence to the 5 M's health protocol (Washing hands with soap, Wearing a mask, Keeping distance, Avoiding crowds and Limiting mobility);
- Accelerate the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination, especially to the elderly population, to complete phase II vaccination by the end of June 2021.

The coordination meeting was attended by all regions under the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, namely the Provinces of Riau Islands, Bengkulu, D.I. Yogyakarta, Bali and North Kalimantan as well as Work Units within the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.
