PT Virtue Diagnostics Indonesia, is the largest IVD manufacturing company in Southeast Asia, which develops in vitro diagnostic medical devices. This is in line with efforts to transform health security in Indonesia, especially in increasing domestic production of medical devices.
The flagship product of PT Virtue Diagnostik Indonesia is immunological instruments and reagents with chemiluminence (ChLIA) technology which is currently the only chemiluminence (ChLIA) product produced in Indonesia.
Virtue products produced in Indonesia have also been subjected to clinical trials in collaboration with RSUI, RSCM and UGM Yogyakarta.
In his remarks, Minister of Health Budi said that with this inauguration we can continue to develop and produce medical devices, in addition to meeting domestic needs, we can also expand through exports. "I also encourage that the production process carried out in Indonesia can be carried out from upstream to downstream, using domestic raw materials," Budi said.
The presence of this medical equipment facility, he continued, will be very beneficial for the domestic medical equipment industry, especially in fulfilling one of the ten medical devices that the government spends the most on by volume.
"I would like to thank and congratulate PT Virtue Diagnostic Indonesia. Hopefully it can help realize better medical device resilience in Indonesia," Budi concluded.
In addition to the Minister of Health, the inauguration was also attended by the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices of the Indonesian Ministry of Health Lucia Rizka Andalucia and the PJ. Governor of West Java, PJ Regent of Bekasi, Gakeslab, as well as directors of hospitals and clinical laboratories. In addition to symbolically inaugurating, the Minister of Health and his staff also reviewed the production facilities owned by PT Virtue Indonesia.
